DNS Service

With DNS Service you can point your domain name at any personal server or personal computer.

DNS Service is the process of relating a name to a unique address. For instance, every domain name has an address similar to a home address. Let.s say 1234 7th St. however, on the internet that address looks something like this: 84.32.178.12. With DNS Service we point your domain name to that odd looking internet address. Why? - Because it is easier to remember yourdomain.com then to remember 84.32.178.12?

To do all this we use what is called a name server, so when people request yourdomain.com we can tell them the correct address. For $9.95 we can host your domain where you can use our DNS Service tool to specify your mail records and domain records (MX, CNAME, or ANAME). You will still be responsible for configuring your mail or website server host, but we can allow you to specify the address or hostname of that host.

Why would I need this? You would only need this service if you were an experienced user interesting in pointing your domain name to a custom server or personal computer that you configured to receive requests.
