IYD began at the beginnings of the domain name registration industry as a reseller for a large domain name registrar. Through that experience we sold thousands of domain names and never saw a dime despite our hard work and diligent effort. Through that difficult time we knew it was for change.

As a result, in 1997 IYD took the form of the registrar ItsYourDomain and revolutionized the business of reselling domain names and the speed at which domain names move today. We introduced and still promote today our transparent reselling system that allows anyone to become an IYD reseller. Allowing our 11,000 resellers across the world to profit from selling domain names and our customers to enjoy our exciting services? These services allowed our customers to eliminate waiting 90 days for their domain name to point to their website; at IYD we put the tools in the hands of our customers where they could change this information in 3 days.

Despite the flood of registrars who duplicated IYD's original tools we still stand proud today of our accomplishments as the number 16 registrar in the world. Though we are unsure of what the future may hold, we know we will have a part in it.
